Northwest Landing Neighborhood Association is a resident-led Black neighborhood coalition. We organize so decisions about our blocks are made by the people who live on them.
Our mission

“The mission is to advocate, educate and utilize resources for the economical and environmental sustainability of area residents and stakeholders while enhancing community unification and growth.”
In practice that means showing up: at city meetings, on porches, in gardens, at the barbershop and in the group text when somebody needs help tonight.

Porch conversations
Longtime residents started meeting on porches about vacant lots, dumping and disinvestment — and decided to organize instead of wait.

A formal association
Neighbors chartered the association, elected officers and set a mission around advocacy, education and resources.

Gardens, tree plantings and beautification turned neglected corners into gathering places the whole block protects.

Buy Black directory, contractor referrals, homeowner support and youth programs keeping resources in the community.
